This workshop will assist you in benchmarking your organisation against the industry’s best practice as outlined in the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement. These Standards were developed in 2015 by Volunteering Australia with thorough consultation with the sector. The result is a user friendly guide of best practice for volunteer management that is adaptable to the diversity of organisations, large and small that it relates to.
This workshop will provide you with an overview of the Standards, along with resources and reading to educate yourself further. During the workshop you will receive some practical advice on implementing the Standards in your workplace, while discussing ideas and concerns. Ultimately you will end up with the start of an Action Plan to and understanding of what the next steps are for your organisation towards implementing the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement
This workshop is ideal for anyone with governance or management responsibility, or volunteer managers or coordinators. By looking at best practice and identifying how your organisation is and can improve, you will work towards improving your organisational outcomes and protect the asset that is your volunteers.
