‘Pay It Forward’ and what does it mean – an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying it to others instead of to the original benefactor.
So Saturday 28 April 2018 is the time to Pay It Forward to a complete stranger. It’s an awesome feeling to make someone’s day and then encourage them do it the same. It’s performing random acts of kindness that inspires others and creates a ripple effect of good-will and generosity.
Pay It Forward Day is a global initiative with over 80 countries participating in believing that a small act when multiplied by millions of people can change the world for the better. The aim is to inspire over 10 million acts of kindness around the world. Imagine what we can all achieve united in helping spread the world about this important day.
Ways to ‘Pay It Forward’:
- Spend the day volunteering for your favourite charity
- Shout a stranger a coffee at your local coffee shop
- Buy a meal for the homeless
- Donate to a charity or philanthropy
- Hospital – buy flowers or chocolates for lonely patients or toys and books for children
- Rainy Day – buy or share your umbrella with someone
